R'Lyeh: Chamber of Stones
Digital art resembling an acrylic painting, reproduced on gallery-wrapped canvas — Size (W x H): 60cm x 38cm (24in x 15in).
About the Work
In the Chamber of Stones, in the ancient underwater city of R'Lyeh, there is tension in the air. It's going to happen again! The last time was 307 years ago...
At exactly 2:22pm, three gongs sound, and the anchor stones and their guides materialise. Their drone-chant summons the Council of Sh'Gath, the central power stone, and, finally, the high priests.
Together, they start the Chant of Py'Gra to summon the Dark God As'Ragor – who materialises in a surprising form.
Garr has always been a fan of H. P. Lovecraft, and similar writers. This is his offering of an imagining of events that might be linked to the mythos.
